This place kicks serous ass.

We’re staying at a place called Matemwe Beach Village, which is (not hard to guess) right on Matemwe Beach. It’s basically a complex of a dozen small bungalows, a bar and a pool.

Yesterday while we were out they left cava and fruit in our room, and tonight when we went into the dining room for supper the guy said “Oh, room seven, we have a special table for you,” and led us down to the beach where they had laid out a table for two in a little bamboo hut.

We ate our dinner by flickering candlelight, listening to the sea and looking at the stars.
